Hi, I’m Lisa R. Triggs. I’ve spent nearly 20 years navigating menopause. I entered perimenopause at 38 and endured a 10-year stretch before moving into full menopause. What followed was seven years of struggle and despair.


I gained 40 pounds; not just of physical weight, but of emotional, mental, and physical burden.

Every day felt like a fight to keep it together. I suffered from fatigue, memory issues, brain fog, and focus problems. I lacked energy, craved sugar constantly, and experienced restless leg syndrome.


And the list goes on. In total, I experienced nearly 30 symptoms. Recurring infections, deep depression, insomnia, vertigo, and disconnection from myself and my marriageall while feeling like I was lost.


I was so desperate for relief that I finally caved and asked for medication. It had some benefits, I'll admit, but it wasn't something I wanted to take for the rest of my life. I am a believer that any drug we put into our bodies has a side effect, so being on medication long term, wasn't for me.


But the real healing began when I stopped looking outside of myself and started going within. I discovered something powerful: mindset changes everything. Self-love opens the door to real transformation. It is not about fixing yourself. It is about truly knowing yourself with compassion and understanding.


So why suffer through menopause?


Why wake up exhausted, dreading another day of symptoms and emotional heaviness? Why feel like a stranger in your own body? Why watch relationships crumble and dreams fade?


You were not meant to shrink in this phase of life. You were meant to rise.


We are told menopause is something to endure. But what if it is a wake-up call? What if it is a doorway to becoming who you truly are?


You do not need to suffer. You do not need to feel ashamed, isolated, or stuck. There are alternative ways.

I was in a vicious circle of feeling down, which only exasperated my hot flashes, sleeplessness, and lack of energy. The life was being sucked out of me with each passing day, and who knew when there would be an end.


Once I recognized and acknowledged that, there was only one way to go, and it was up! Learning to love myself has been the final piece to the puzzle of ‘me.’ I have visualized, meditated, wrote, and mirrored myself together piece by piece over the last year. 


Don’t underestimate yourself or your worth. Look for the smallest of things you can find, such as nice hands or feet, to begin with and add to it each day. 


You may think it silly, but your brain adopts the positive feelings over time so that they become second nature. Even during the mirror exercise, you are cognitively shifting the way your brain perceives yourself and it is an amazing feeling! Soon it will be a habit to look into the mirror and see all the wonderful things about yourself.


Think love, be love, live with love and love will find you in every way. Most importantly how you view yourself.


I have told myself that I am a Queen, and I deserve to live my best life as much as anyone else. I feel her. I act like her. She was in me the whole time; I just had to release and unleash her, and you can too."
